World Soccer Gossip: Partey to Arsenal; Bayern Munich target Hudson-Odoi

Here’s your daily round-up of the latest transfer gossip from World Soccer.

ARSENAL LOOKING TO ADD MORE QUALITY

The Gunners recently announced that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new three-year deal with the club, which is worth about £55 million, including bonuses. There’s no doubt that keeping hold of the 31-year-old will be the best bit of business The Gunners do this summer, but they aren’t done yet.

Alaves’ Spanish midfielder Pere Pons (R) challenges Atletico Madrid’s Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey during the Spanish League football match between Atletico Madrid and Alaves at the Wanda Metropolitan stadium in Madrid on June 27, 2020.

According to the Mirror, The Gunners are still planning to add more players to their squad before the transfer window slams shut. Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar remain high up on the club’s wish list. If Mikel Arteta is able to lure the midfield duo to the Emirates, then he’ll be confident that his side can be more competitive in the Premier League this season.

BAYERN TARGET HUDSON-ODOI

According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich are ready to revive their interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi, with the European champions increasingly hopeful Chelsea will listen to offers for their academy graduate.

Given the quality already available to Hans-Dieter Flick in that area of the pitch, we are surprised that he’d want to add the 19-year-old to his squad this summer. It’s highly unlikely that Hudson-Odoi would be able to compete for a place in the starting line-up against the likes of Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane, but the youngster may fancy his chances of getting his career back on track in Germany.

ALLI FOR BALE?

It seems to be becoming increasingly more likely that Gareth Bale might end his nightmare at Real Madrid by making a romantic return to Tottenham before the window shuts. According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham could use Dele Alli as a makeweight as they attempt to re-sign the 31-year-old forward.

Given the lack of football for Bale over the last few years, it would be a gamble to include 24-year-old Alli in any sort of deal. If Bale failed to get back to his best at Spurs, and Alli continued to improve as a player at Madrid, then it wouldn’t be a good look.
