World Soccer Gossip: Chelsea eyeing moves for Donnarumma and Dybala

Here’s your daily round-up of the latest transfer gossip from World Soccer.

CHELSEA EYEING DONNARUMMA AND DYBALA

Frank Lampard’s squad was bolstered with over £200 million worth of new signings this summer, including goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes. However, according to Calcio Mercato, Chelsea were keen on a move for AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, before ultimately deciding to move for Mendy.

Donnarumma is yet to sign a new contract at the San Siro, so The Blues could still try to tempt him to Stamford Bridge when his contract expires next summer. If Mendy makes a big impact in the Premier League though, this might not be necessary.

Donnarumma isn’t the only target that The Blues have identified as a potential transfer target from Serie A. According to Tutto Mercato Web, Paulo Dybala is also on Chelsea’s radar, and he might be open to a move from Juventus in next summer’s window.

Juventus’ Argentine forward Paulo Dybala leaves the football pitch during the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg football match between Juventus and Olympique Lyonnais (OL), played behind closed doors due to the spread of the COVID-19 infection, caused by the novel coronavirus, at the Juventus stadium, in Turin , on August 7, 2020.

DORTMUND NOT PREPARED TO SELL SANCHO IN JANUARY

There’s no doubt that Manchester United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho was the biggest transfer saga of this summer’s window. If they were thinking that they would be able to sign the 20-year-old in January having missed out this summer, then they’ll have to think again.

According to Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund are not prepared to sell Sancho in January. There are likely to be more sides than just The Red Devils interested in Sancho next summer, and if he has another good season in the Bundesliga, his value is going to be significantly higher than it was this summer.

MIDDLESBROUGH ATTEMPTING LATE DEAL FOR BOLASIE

Don’t forget it’s Deadline Day for a second time today! It’s the final day in which domestic deals can go through. According to Sky Sports, Middlesbrough are attempting to sign Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton.
