Wilfried Zaha & Crystal Palace
On Thursday, Crystal Palace fans are waking up to fresh reports indicating that Wilfried Zaha was to leave the club.
After a recent contract extension, Zaha is committed to staying at Selhurst Park until 2023.
However, following a summer jam-packed with Zaha transfer rumours, the Ivory Coast international has now sent a fresh signal of his intent to leave the Eagles.
Zaha sacks agent Will Salthouse
As confirmed in the Times today, Zaha has sacked his agent Will Salthouse. The broadsheet report:
Wilfried Zaha has told his agent that he wants to terminate their contract after failing to secure a move away from Crystal Palace in the summer, citing the agent’s relationship with the club’s chairman, Steve Parish.
According to sources, the FA has been informed of a “dispute” between the forward and his representative.

What do we know about Will Salthouse & Unique Sports Management?
Reporter Matt Lawton has looked into Will Salthouse in the Times.
38, Salthouse is a former gold professional.
Salthouse started Unique Sports Management, who represent many sports stars including Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Matt Lawton reports that USM’s USP centres on Salthouse’s relationships with key figures in football.
For example, Salthouse reportedly has a “strong bond with West Ham United’s co-chairman David Sullivan”.
Regarding Crystal Palace, Matt Lawton claims “perhaps Salthouse’s most important contact is Steve Parish, the Palace chairman”.
Returning to Zaha and USM, the Times also note that “Zaha’s brother Serge has worked for USM.”

Why has Zaha sacked his agent?
The Times fail to provide a detailed, specific answer to this question.
Readers are left to assume that Zaha feels that his agent failed to act in his best interests last summer.
Why? Because despite handing in a transfer request, Zaha remained in south London.
Indeed, the Times deduce that Zaha’s split from his agent is a clear signal that Zaha “has no desire to remain at Selhurst Park.”
Does that mean Zaha could leave the Eagles in the January window?
Arsenal & Everton
Last summer, both Arsenal and Everton tried to sign Zaha.
Looking forward, however, Arsenal ended up signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
That would suggest that Zaha is no longer needed at the Emirates Stadium.
As for Everton, the Toffees signed Alex Iwobi from Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
One would assume Everton’s interest in signing Zaha has also waned as a result.
