Lionel Messi scored two more goals in Barcelona‘s 2-0 win over Espanyol on Saturday – including an incredible panenka free-kick.
Barça moved 13 points clear at the top of La Liga ahead of Atletico Madrid’s game against Alaves courtesy of Messi’s goals in the 71st and 89th minutes.
It moved the Argentine to 31 for the campaign in La Liga and edged him past 40 in all competitions for the 10th season in a row.
His second was a close-range finish from a Maicon cross, but his first was something else altogether.
Stepping up to take a free-kick right on the edge of the box, Messi nonchalantly chipped the ball over the wall, catching everyone out in the process. He simply never runs out of ways of scoring goals.
