Unai Emery sends warning message to Arsenal players before Wolves

Wolves vs Arsenal

Wolves and Arsenal will go head-to-head in one of two Premier League games on Wednesday.

The Gunners head into the game in 5th place after Chelsea knocked them out of the top four with a draw vs Burnley on Monday.

However, Arsenal do have a game in hand on Maurizio Sarri’s side and will return to a Champions League place with a win over Wolves.

Wolves themselves are also fighting for a European place.

They are currently 10th in the table one point behind 7th place Everton, who they have a game in hand on.

Emery on Wolves

After crashing out of the FA Cup vs Watford, Unai Emery was asked if Wolves are still recovering from said defeat.

However, Emery doesn’t think they are and has sent a message to his players, warning that Wolves have big motivation to beat Arsenal.

“I don’t think so. They are going to push a lot tomorrow.

“I worked one thing here very quickly. We are playing against all of the teams. And they want to battle us, fighting and playing with a big motivation.

“One is the motivation in the table for each player and one is the motivation against Arsenal. Every team wants to battle us. Because they respect us and also because it’s important to try to win against us.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.

Arsenal should also be wary of Wolves’ record against the top six sides.

Nuno Santo’s team have taken points off all of the top six already this season, including Arsenal when they drew 1-1 at the Emirates back in November.
