Team of the Week presented by Audi: Henry jumps highest in Week 9


Week 9 of the 2019 MLS regular season was the busiest matchweek yet, with 17 games and plenty for everyone, something reflected in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.

Defenders took a key role this time around, with six included in the 18, along with several midfielders renowned for their two-way play. The headlining team this week is the Montreal Impact, who took two wins in Week 9, keeping clean sheets in both.

Audi Player Index Spotlight

This week’s spotlight player is Vancouver Whitecaps FC center back Doneil Henry, who scored a goal in a 1-1 draw against the Philadelphia Union at BC Place on Saturday. Henry picked up 937 points, best in MLS for the week.

In addition to his goal, which came with a 100 percent strike rate, Henry had four clearances, four headed clearances and won 80 percent of his aerials.
