Perisic frozen out at Inter, Yannick Carrasco still an option

Arsenal & Ivan Perisic

The Italian press continue to link Arsenal with Ivan Perisic on Tuesday.

Perisic, 29, is on the outside at Inter Milan.

Over the weekend Perisic was left on Inter’s bench during a 1-0 away defeat at Torino.

At the same time, Inter director Guiseppe Marotta has confirmed that Perisic wants to leave the club.

Perisic frozen out at Inter

So will Perisic move to Arsenal before February 1st?

According to Italian daily Il Giornale today, Perisic is now training by himself at Inter Milan.

That would appear to signal the point of no return for Perisic at the San Siro.

But does that mean the Croat will join Arsenal?

Il Giornale stop short of saying that, as Inter are still waiting for a suitable offer from the Gunners for their winger.

Yannick Carrasco, Arsenal & Inter

In Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday, Yannick Carrasco is thrown into the mix.

Carrasco was reportedly a target for Arsenal earlier in the transfer window.

Now GdS reinsert Carrasco into the equation, claiming Arsenal could move for the Belgian if Perisic proves unattainable.

Yet there’s a twist, as Inter are also looking at Carrasco as a possible replacement for Perisic too.

So how will this Perisic, Arsenal story play out?

There appears to be a standoff right now between Inter and the Gunners.

Inter are thought to be willing to sell Perisic provided they get a palatable offer.

Such an offer would be a permanent deal for Perisic, rather than a loan agreement with Arsenal for the Croat.

Will Arsenal pay up for Perisic?

With a couple of days left in January, this possible transfer could go down to the wire.

Inter Milan & Antonio Conte

Staying with Inter Milan, it’s reported in Tuttosport today that Inter are considering appointing Antonio Conte as their manager in the summer.
