The latest reports across the English media over the last 24 hours suggest that, despite his side’s dismal recent spell of form, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is not in danger of being sacked.
Pochettino’s Spurs have endured an altogether-underwhelming start to the new season.
As things stand, the north Londoners sit 9th in the Premier League table, a full 13 points behind early pace-setters Liverpool.
It is their form over the last couple of weeks, though, which has seen Tottenham dip into full-blown crisis mode.
The capital giants were first ousted from the League Cup by League Two outfit Colchester United.
This was followed by quite possibly the most embarrassing result of the Pochettino era last Tuesday night, when Spurs were pummeled by 7 goals to 2 at home to Bayern Munich.

And, in their latest outing, which was widely-viewed as the ideal bounce-back platform, at struggling Brighton this past weekend, the Lilywhites were out-thought, out-fought and simply out-played, en route to a comprehensive 3-0 defeat.
‘Not under threat’
As such, amid potentially the most trying spell of his managerial career, murmurs that Pochettino’s Spurs stint could soon be set to come to an end have begun to grow louder.
The Argentine has once again been hotly-tipped for the post at Manchester United, amid the Red Devils’ struggles under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
If the latest reports in England over the last 24 hours are anything to go by, though, then Pochettino’s job, as things stand, is safe.
As per Paul Brown of the Mirror, football.london and more (via Ricky Sacks), Pochettino is ‘not under threat’ in north London, and is eyeing a major shake-up to his squad following the turn of the year:
[@PBSportsWriter] | Mauricio Pochettino’s job is still ‘not under threat’ at Tottenham Hotspur and is now already planning a big squad shake-up in January.
