Juventus’ sporting director Paratici rules out Dybala leaving this summer

Paratici on Dybala

Paulo Dybala looked as though he could have been on his way out of Juventus this summer.

Manchester United were said to be interested in the Argentine but the Telegraph reported the Red Devils pulled the plug on any potential deal due to reservations about the Juventus striker’s desire to join them and his wage demands.

Tottenham were also linked with Dybala over the summer but nothing came of that before the English transfer window shut on August 8th.

Now, Juventus’ sporting director Fabio Paratici has spoken out about Dybala’s imminent future. He claims Dybala will not be leaving this summer:

“We can absolutely rule out Dybala leaving this summer. We can exclude that as a possibility.

“This is a club that leaves a good impression, as often players want to come back when they have left, most recently Gigi Buffon and Leonardo Bonucci.

“There are people who brought a great deal to the club. Not just to the team or what happened on the field. Let’s not forget, Juventus have been top of the Serie A table for 3,000 days and these players are always the first to arrive for training and the last to leave.” As quoted by the Mirror.

Juventus 4-Napoli 3

Despite not leaving this summer, Dybala’s game time has, so far, been limited.

Juventus have played two Serie A games in 2019/20.

Dybala was an unused sub in Juve’s first league game and made a 14-minute sub appearance on Saturday vs Napoli.

Juventus managed to come away with a 4-3 win vs Napoli thanks to goals from Danilo, Gonzalo Higuaín, Cristiano Ronaldo and a Napoli own goal.
