Christian Pulisic poses in Chelsea kit at Stamford Bridge

The first photos of Christian Pulisic donning Chelsea’s kit have emerged online this evening, ahead of his debut season with the Blues.

Dortmund to Chelsea

20-year-old American international Pulisic has long-been regarded as one of world football’s most gifted youngsters.

After exploding onto the scene in Germany with Borussia Dortmund at the tender age of 17 during the 2016-17 campaign, the fleet-footed wide-man’s subsequent performances over the years that followed eventually convinced Premier League giants Chelsea to splash out on his signature this past January.

The Blues agreed to fork over a fee of 64 million Euro to secure the Pennsylvania-native’s signature, with Pulisic having since remained on loan at the Westfalenstadion.

Pulisic arrives

However, following the conclusion of the Bundesliga season over the weekend, during which Dortmund fell an agonizing 2 points short of champions Bayern Munich, Pulisic has since made his way to London.

And, after arriving at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s fans have this evening been treated to their first glimpse of the American teen in the club’s colours:

Unfortunately for the Blues’ faithful, though, they will have to wait to see Pulisic actually take to the pitch.

There had been suggestions that the gifted youngster may be available to feature in the club’s Europa League final meeting with Arsenal next week.

However, this will not be the case.

Any player lining out in the Baku showcase had to have been registered in their club’s European panel submitted to UEFA in January.

‘A huge honour’

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s official website last week, meanwhile, Pulisic discussed his ‘excitement’ at getting his career in England under way:

‘It feels amazing and I’m super excited to get started with Chelsea.’

‘It’s going to be an amazing experience, one I can’t wait for. To be here in England, speaking English again and meeting all the guys is something I’m thrilled for.’

‘I’ve been waiting a long time for this. Playing in the Premier League has been one of my biggest dreams. To be a Chelsea player is a huge honour and something I’m really excited for.’
