Coutinho struggles at Barca
Chelsea have contacted Barcelona to express an interest in one of their midfielders, Philippe Coutinho, according to the Express.
Coutinho joined Barcelona last January from Liverpool for a staggering fee of around £142m.
However, since making the switch to Spain, Coutinho has failed to live up to his price tag.
During his first season at Barca Coutinho made 18 appearances in La Liga, in which he scored eight and assisted five.
A decent record but probably not what Barca were demanding for such a high transfer fee.
The Brazilian has also enjoyed another average start to the 2018/19 campaign.
In 17 league games this season, Coutinho has scored four and assisted two.

Considering Barca are one of the most dominant teams in Europe, you would expect Coutinho to have a higher goal and assist tally.
Chelsea lacking creativity
While Coutinho is disappointing at Barca, Chelsea fans would likely love to have him at Stamford Bridge.
This is because of Chelsea’s lack of creativity in their midfield.
In a typical game, Maurizio Sarri will start N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in their midfield three.
None of the above trio are incredibly creative and it often shows, including in Chelsea’s last game vs Arsenal.
Chelsea lost 2-0 vs Arsenal and would manage just one shot on target all game.
The Blues do have both Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who can play in the three and are supposed to be more creative.
However, Barkley would come on as a sub vs Arsenal and do very little.
