Chelsea announce Cech as their new Technical and Performance Advisor

Petr Cech’s outstanding career

Petr Cech joined Chelsea in 2004 from French outfit Stade Rennais for a fee believed to be in the region of £11.7m.

Cech would go on to feature a staggering 494 times for the Blues, keeping 228 clean sheets in the process.

The 37-year-old also amassed a rather impressive silverware collection during his stint at Chelsea.

Cech would get his hands on four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields, the Champions League and Europa League.

Cech set for Chelsea return

Cech then left Chelsea in 2015 for fellow PL side, Arsenal.

While he didn’t have as a good time with the Gunners, Cech still earned an FA Cup and two Community Shields.

However, Cech is now set for a return to Chelsea as their Technical and Performance Advisor.

I feel very privileged to have this opportunity to join Chelsea again and help create the best possible high level performance environment to continue the success the club has had over the past 15 years.

I’m looking forward to the new challenge and hope I can use all of my football knowledge and experience to help the team achieve even more success in the future.
