Lucas Digne cleans up at Everton’s end of season awards

Everton have this evening announced Lucas Digne as the winner of the club’s Player and Players’ Player of the Season awards.

Toffees’ stint

French full-back Digne made the move to Goodison Park last summer, following a largely-underwhelming stint in Spain with Barcelona.

However, after managing just 8 La Liga starts last season, the 25-year-old has since gone on to rediscover his confidence and form on Merseyside.

Digne played an absolutely crucial role in Everton’s backline throughout the season, with his lung-busting runs up and down the left-flank, coupled with the stopper’s wand of a left-foot, having added another attacking dimension to Marco Silva’s side.

All told, the former AS Roma man racked up 35 Premier League appearances.

Most impressive, though, was Digne’s haul of 4 goals and 4 assists.
