Everton’s Idrissa Gueye & PSG
Claims that Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is keen on joining PSG aren’t that new.
The 29-year-old Senegalese international is now preparing for the final of the African Cup of Nations.

PSG tried to sign Idrissa Gueye in January
Back in the January transfer window, PSG tried to prise Idrissa Gueye from Goodison Park.
The eventual Ligue 1 champs reportedly offered Everton £26.2 million for their African enforcer.
Everton rejected that offer, while Gueye later told L’Equipe the following:
They put the brakes on immediately.
I pushed. I told the club I wanted to take this golden opportunity to go to Paris. A huge challenge, especially at the age of 29.
It is a dream that sadly did not come true.
PSG line up a new offer for Everton, price tag revealed
As confirmed in the Times on Wednesday, PSG are now gunning for Gueye again:
Idrissa Gana Gueye will push to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer with Everton likely to seek about £30 million for the midfielder, while RB Leipzig remain in talks with Everton over a £22.5 million deal for Ademola Lookman.
Will that offer satisfy Everton? Gueye is under contract with the Toffees until 2022.
However, the Telegraph appear to indicate that the timing may now be right for Everton to accept PSG’s bid:
The 29-year-old is hopeful PSG will return with an acceptable bid over the next few weeks and that his club will be more prepared to negotiate now they have recruited Fabian Delph.
#Delph to #efc probably means #Gueye will leave. While not terribly exciting (& he’ll be 30 later this year), at £8m he’s relatively risk-free, brings experience, bite & versatility, & should leave club with enough money to make more signings
