Chelsea lose at Liverpool
Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League following a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday.
Goals from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah in the second half sunk the Blues.
The Blues have 66 points from 34 games. Spurs, in third, have 67 points from 33 games, while Man United, in fifth, have 64 points from 33 games.
Arsenal, who take on Watford tonight in the league, are presently sixth in the table on 63 points.
Antonio Rudiger injury fears vs Slavia Prague
German centre-half Antonio Rudiger picked up an injury at Anfield.
Rudiger was subbed out the Liverpool match after 40 minutes.
Danish international Andreas Christensen was brought on as the replacement.
Will Rudiger be fit for Chelsea’s Europa League quarterfinal second-leg against Slavia Prague this Thursday night at Stamford Bridge?
The Blues hold a 1-0 lead in the tie after winning in the Czech Republic. Marcos Alonso scored a late goal in Prague.
Maurizio Sarri gave the following update on Rudiger after the Liverpool defeat:
I hope it’s nothing serious but, at the moment, I am not able to say anything.
We need another visit with the doctor and something else to be sure it’s not serious. I am not sure.
